cvc community update
CVC Family,

The Apostle Paul teaches in Philippians 4:4-6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” We invite you to join us in praying—not only for the safety of our reopening but for the healing and racial reconciliation of our communities and our nation. Now more than ever, the church is commissioned to lead the way in Christ-like love for one another.

Thank you for the faithfulness you have exhibited these past months in continuing to worship and connect online as part of the CVC family. We are also grateful for the many responses to our recent survey. The information you provided was instrumental in helping us determine how and when to reopen the building.

We realize not everyone will be ready to venture out at the same time due to a wide variety of personal preferences and circumstances. Therefore, we are advising those who have concerns about attending in-person weekend worship gatherings, as well as individuals or families of individuals who may be exhibiting symptoms, to please continue to worship with us online.

CVC has a growing vibrant online worshipping community—we are grateful so many of you have and will continue to engage through that platform. In fact, as we invest time in planning our on-campus gatherings, we are simultaneously continuing to investigate innovative ways to connect with our online campus!

As we open the Main Auditorium for worship gatherings, these limited-size, physical-distance gatherings may feel different than what you experienced prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope the following information will equip you to navigate the current protocol:

SANITIZING
Our greeters will be at our main entrance holding the doors open for you and a host will have hand sanitizer for every person that enters the building. We will also have sanitizing stations throughout the building for your convenience. We will also be wiping down common surfaces between services.

SEATING
In adhering to the recommended physical distancing guidelines, we have set out groups of chairs in sets of 2, 3 and 4. We ask everyone to sit in the shortest row available that meets your needs. We will have stacked chairs available if your party/group is more than 4 people. Ushers will assist you if you need more chairs added to your row.

FACE COVERINGS/MASKS
Face coverings or face masks will be available upon request in the Welcome Center.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Please maintain the recommended 6-foot physical distance at all times. For the safety of one another, refrain from hugging, high fiving, handshakes, or other physical contact. We also ask that you and your party proceed directly to the exit, and take conversations out in the parking lot once the weekend worship gathering is complete. While we all miss having the time to connect socially with each other in person, we need to keep the foyer clear for the safety of everyone.

CHILDCARE/CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
We cannot wait to see your kids at CVC again!
We will offer children's ministry (crawling through 5th grade) at our 9:30 am service and will offer Nursery & Pre-K ONLY at our 11:15 am service.
Each of our children’s ministry volunteers will have their temperature checked before entering the children’s ministry area. All of our volunteers will be screened for symptoms along with a temperature check and will be wearing an orange wristband, confirming they have been cleared.

CAFE
We won’t be providing coffee or other refreshments just yet, but you are more than welcome to bring your own from home.

I can’t wait to see you on Sunday, June 21! God bless you as we join back together to pursue the Mission of God for the Glory of God!
